Hamble Marine Ltd is proud to be the first registered NMEA Marine Electronics Installer on the south coast.
We can install and check most makes and types of marine electronic and electrical systems whether it is an integrated GPS/chart plotter/AIS/DSC radio system or a new VHF antenna. Our speciality is networking a range of different branded products into one system and we are one of the few waterside dealers with equipment that can actually test your "NMEA0183" and Raymarine "SeaTalk" networks on-board. Further details are available on the Installation page.
Whilst we can diagnose and usually identify which item of on-board electronics is faulty, we regret we cannot normally repair individual items - they are best taken direct to the manufacturer (Garmin, Raymarine, ICOM, Simrad etc) or to one of their registered Service Agents.
All work is carried out in accordance with the BMEA Code of Practice and the NMEA 0400 Installation Standard thus ensuring a safe, reliable and professional installation of your equipment.
Our extensive range of Test Equipment also enables us to diagnose wiring faults in the complex electrical systems at both the masthead and the bilge/keel areas.
If you need on-board, hands-on training for your fancy new electronic equipment, we would be pleased to provide this on a one-to-one basis.
Recent and current jobs include installing and interfacing together a complete Raymarine C80 colour chartplotter, GPS system and ICOM VHF; Garmin colour chartplotter, GPS system, AIS transponder and M-Tech VHF; a complete 230V shore system inc charger, BEP 12V control system, Raymarine Radar, wind & depth transducers plus VHF etc., etc.
More information on the services we offer can be found under the About Us link above.

(must be able to receive NMEA 0183HS data) or a PC computer via the 9pin connector.
This system is suitable for DIY installation OR we will come and fit it for you
in our normal work area (see below). This must be one of the most cost-effective
ways of getting AIS on your boat.

Class B AIS Transponders - Digital Yacht AIT250
and AIT1000
The AIT250 and AIT1000 are full CLASS B AIS transponders that send and receive AIS
data so your position, course, speed, heading and identity are transmitted to other
AIS users as well as receiving other CLASS A and CLASS B data transmissions for viewing
on a compatible plotter or PC charting system. They have built in GPS receiver to
provide compatible devices with a position data feed and a dual channel receiver
for the AIS
data.
