The AIT250 is a full CLASS B AIS transponder that sends and receives AIS data so your position, course, speed, heading and identity are transmitted to other AIS users as well as receiving other CLASS A and CLASS B data transmissions for viewing on a compatible plotter or PC charting system. It has built in GPS to provide compatible devices with a position data feed. Built in dual channel receiver with NMEA/RS232 output for connection to compatible plotter or PC charting system. The Nexus NX2000 is a fully waterproof (meets standard laid down in IPX7 and is waterproof to a depth of 1 metre for up to 30 minutes.) compact Class D DSC marine VHF radio. It operates on all current Marine channels including M1 and M2. The NX2000 has the same large clear easy to read LCD display and simple user friendly controls as featured on the successful Silva S10. It features full scan, memory scan and dual watch facilities plus a separate channel 70 watch keeping receiver that continuously and automatically monitors for Distress, Urgency and Safety messages plus of course anyone who is simply calling you using your individual MMSI code (similar to a telephone number allocated by OFCOM). A clearly marked [DISTRESS] button allows you to summon assistance if your vessel is in distress or life is in danger by simply pressing the button (protected against accidental operation by a spring loaded cover and a 5 second delay timer).
