Frequently Asked Questions about LPG/Gas engine conversions

  • How much will the conversion cost?
    Conversions typically start at £3,000 including labour for a single engine.

  • How long does the conversion take?
    Most single engine conversions take 2 or 3 days but a twin engine conversion may take up to 5 days to complete.

  • How soon will the costs pay back?
    Marine Gas is less than half the price of petrol and on average the conversion cost can be recovered in approx 100hrs.

  • Will the conversion affect the value of my boat?
    Customer experience shows that boats converted with the HambleMEGS system sell quicker and at a premium, over their petrol equivalents.
