Back to topWhat are the benefits?
The most significant benefit is to cut your fuel costs by over half. Cost of LPG is typically 45p/lit whereas marina petrol prices vary across the country but are typically £1.15p/lit. Other benefits are that because LPG is clean-burning, it cuts maintenance costs and dramatically reduces harmful exhaust emissions resulting in a substantial decrease in pollutants. Another major advantage is that the possibility of direct contamination from accidental spillage is extremely remote and the environment also benefits from reduced engine noise levels.

Yes it is. HambleMEGS conversion systems comply with all relevant safety and emissions standards. The Control System is fully electronic and the built-in safety alarm system constantly monitors the air quality in the engine compartment and other areas when the main power in your boat is on.

How much will the conversion cost?
Conversions typically start at £3,000 including labour for a single engine.

Most single engine conversions take 2 or 3 days but a twin engine conversion may take up to 5 days to complete.

Marine Gas is less than half the price of petrol and on average the conversion cost can be recovered in approx 100hrs.
