Terms & Conditions
All work undertaken, Goods supplied and Contracts entered into by Hamble Marine Ltd are subject to the following Terms and Conditions….
Our general Terms of Business are as per those recommended by the British Marine Federation and may be found here.
In addition, the following specific Terms and Conditions will apply:
1> “We” means Hamble Marine Limited.
2> “You” means the Customer.
3> Unless specifically stated otherwise, payment is due immediately work is completed. Payment by BACS is preferred but payment may also be made by cash, cheque, most credit or debit cards, PayPal or GoogleCheckout.
4> Ownership/title to the goods supplied does not pass to you until full payment has been received by us. We will file a Maritime Claim of Lien if necessary.
5> We are no longer registered for VAT and there is, therefore no VAT to be added to any prices quoted. Where goods are supplied, the prices quoted include the VAT element we have to pay when purchasing the goods.
6> We don’t do “cash deals”, so don’t ask. We will be pleased to accept cash as a form of payment but all final invoices include VAT as stated above.
7> Where Estimates or Quotations are given, the prices quoted are given in good faith and are accurate to the best of our ability. However if, once work has started, additional costs are involved, we reserve the right to pass these onto the Customer. We will normally contact the Customer in advance where these increases are likely to increase the estimated or quoted figure by more than 20%.
8> Where prices are given for goods, these are based on our Manufacturer’s and/or Supplier’s last known prices. If these change between the Estimate/Quotation date and date of supply, we reserve the right to pass on the price change.
9> For goods bought “unseen” (e.g. via the Internet or Telephone), you will be covered by the “Distance Selling Regulations”. These include the right for you to return the goods within 7 days if you change your mind or the goods are unsatisfactory. To return an item for exchange or cancellation you must first notify us by telephone on 073 0707 8080 inside the 7 day period. Items must be returned in original condition complete with all manuals and accessories. If any item is returned not in its original condition, we reserve the right to charge you for the reduction in resale value caused directly as a result of not being returned in its original condition, (up to a maximum charge of the original retail list price for the item). If you are not happy with your goods and deem them unsuitable or unwanted we will issue a refund as long as the goods are returned in original condition at the buyers expense within 14 days of receipt. We cannot refund any of the original or return postage costs.
We advise you in the event of returning goods to ensure that they are properly packaged and you must use a “signed-for” postal service or courier service and where necessary, insured accordingly. We accept no responsibility for lost or damaged items.
